At the same time, it’s very easy in this modern world to blame millennials for the world’s troubles. While folks might have some valid reasons behind this, we can’t state that one single generation has ruined everything. However, there are certain things that can be blamed on millennials and the simultaneous growth of technology. Here are 25 things Millennials Have Ruined …   There are a variety of reasons why they are not quick to run to the altar. Some want to explore life more while others are still looking for that “perfect” relationship they see on social media. In the fast age of technological convenience, however, one can find pretty much anything with the push of a button. It’s no surprise that many millennials are impatient with the thought of being committed to one person for the long haul. If they do drink, they opt for wine and liquor more than beer. It may not be such a bad thing that alcohol consumption among young adults has gone down. Hip hop music, at one point, was about clever punchlines, catchy beats, and wordplay. Then came the age of mumble rap. While some of these artists may have catchy beats, you need a print-out of the lyrics to understand the words. For good reason: many millennials can’t afford to buy a motorcycle. As mentioned in a previous point, they also live in places where public transport is more convenient. Even though McDonald’s has been offering healthier options, it doesn’t seem to be enough to persuade them. Some people just can’t get the information from the documentary Super Size Me out of their minds. Online shopping has been around for a while, and people like the convenience of being able to order online. Surprisingly, the biggest reason is that many of them feel guilty about asking for time off. Sadly, there are also plenty who just want things handed to them. They hope to go from an hourly employee to Vice President of Sales in a month. Only 32% of them have any love for their country. Millennials are also more concerned with how they are perceived by the rest of the world. Some might say that’s a good thing, and others might contest that she lost on her own. According to statistics, only 55% of millennials supported Hillary compared to Barack Obama. Many of them “threw away their vote” by voting for the independent party. Nowadays, millennials are giving their children names like Floppy Disk and Apple Garden. Okay, we’re being silly with those examples, but they are naming them pretty strange things. While not an absurd idea, other generations will argue that logic. Meanwhile, millennials opt for liquid soap. Reasons include the exploitation associated with this gem and the fact that diamonds remain highly expensive. Perhaps diamonds aren’t forever, after all. Ridesharing companies popular among millennials, such as Uber and Lyft, also play a part in this decline. Science has confirmed this. What was once a firm grip has turned limp. Actually, we can’t even fault them for their reasons for not jumping on the crowdfunding bandwagon. A lot of funding requested is for trivial things, like a trip to Thailand or plastic surgery. Half the time, they don’t stay in the room and opt to hang out in the lobby, in order to meet people. Also, more millennials are using online marketplaces like Airbnb, Flipkey, and Vrbo. Most millennials and post-millennials like to watch movies on their phones or laptops. Also, with all the free streaming services, there doesn’t seem to be as much of a need to go to a movie theatre. Many of them are not embracing the high-sugar content of Frosted Flakes or Lucky Charms. Instead, they are on the go and grabbing whatever they can find … granola is a popular, healthy option. In 2016, yogurt sales fell by over 8%. In order to get more millennials to eat this dairy product, the yogurt business opted to take out the sugar and add more protein. At your local grocery store, you will likely find more options for Greek yogurt than ever before. Many are leaving the gym and going where their favorite fitness instructor can be found. As a result, the restaurant industry seems to be on the decline. Nowadays, millennials want quick and few of them have time to sit down and wait for their food. If you want to find your perfect mate, just swipe right (or left if you have no interest). Millennials are ditching time-tested romance for a quick fix.
